Its never too late to start preparing for natural disaster or social unrest. I’ve been preparing for over twenty years and praying that I never need to use my supplies or skills but you buy home and auto insurance and hope that you don’t ever have to use it also.
Do an inventory of what you have in your home that are necessary preparedness items. You might be surprised what you have.
- Water
- Food – frozen
- Food – canned
- Food – dry – beans, rice, pasta
- Seasonings – salt, pepper, others seasonings
- Sugar – syrup, honey
- Matches – Lighters
- A way to cook other than conventional stove ie outdoor grill, Coleman stove, etc
- Protection – guns – ammunition
- Cleaning products – bleach, dishwashing detergent, soap
- First Aid and Medical – aspirin, allergy medications, alchohol, peroxide, Bandaids, cough syrup, etc
- Education – Read, education yourself about preparedness.
- Comfort items – Hard candy, popcorn, books, games.
- This is just a short quick list. You might be surprised how prepared you already are and just don’t know it.
